I just had to share this because it cost me 0 dollars. It balances perfectly by putting the battery under the bottom tray. Couldn't put the camera on the mount since it was taking the pic.

I just took it outside to shoot a vid and it works great. It didn't have any vibration once the heli was completely spooled up. I didn't post the vid because it was so windy outside that my heli was all over the place.

I'm thinking of using zipties to mount a servo on top of the camera to snap photos. I'm using the Spectrum AR7000 so i have an extra channel. I think i can just bind the extra channel to one of the switches on the DX7.

Clever! I must try that. No vibrations at all? I should post a pic of my $2 mount I made for my 600.

Here is a vid i took yesterday at sunset behind the local school. I'll have to learn to keep the movements less jerky when the cam is attached. I should also film during the day with more light. I did a flip at 4:15 and 4:40.

One thing i noticed was a little tail wag during FFF. Probably just a gain adjustment.

This is a casio Exilim and the video mode is only 320 x 240. I just ordered one of those 5 in 1 Edvr things on ebay and they film at 640 x 480. They are also much lighter.

Here are some pics i took at the same place as my original vids. Again it was cloudy due to the weather in Michigan. I think the pics would have turned out better on a sunny day. I set the ISO at 400 since the camera is always moving. Not sure if it helped or not.

I did not mount a servo on top of the camera yet. I just set the 10 sec timer and went up as high as i could. I would not reccommend doing it this way since you have to spin up the heli first. It's too dangerous to press the shutter button under the spinning blades.

Here is another vid i did today behind Portage northern high school. Sunny today. Very bright.

Having been born in Alabama I feel I am qualified to determine what is truly redneck and what is not.

That there mount you got is 100% redneck from start to finish! But it works and is mighty light so I says "get 'r dun!"
