Hi guys, I just took my new charger out it's box and it has a 2 pin plug! I need a 3 pin UK plug, can I cut the 2 pin off and fit a 3 pin?

Only if the charger accepts a 240V input
The plug looks US which is 115V 60Hz
Check the input V's on the charger specs. If it doesn't mention 240V 50Hz then no it's not usable in the UK unless you have a step down Transformer or similar

fast reply bud, thanks, it says 240v so I could just fit a UK 3 pin plug then? if so does it matter which way the wires go in the plug?

Yep
The UK are/used to be until Brussels got involved Blue Neutral and Brown Live and if it has it green for earth (top terminal)
From the top of the plug blue goes to the left and brown goes to the right towards the fuse
I think the US use White and Black
Black neutral
White live
Can someone from over the pond confirm this for me plse

What I meant was if I cut the plug off the charger lead I'll be left with two black wires?
Or should I just call the model shop and get a replacement charger tomorrow?

easiest way is to locate something like this above to adapt to your plugs in the UK for anything from the US

Oh well.
