I haven't got very far, between my three year old daughter and our ante natal classes, but I'm enjoying what I have done so far.

Things that annoy me slightly so far:

* the angle for the screws to mount the bottom of the elevator servo
* where are the M3x10 screws for the landing gear? not in bag 12, that's for sure.

Looks like Evolite 6S bricks? Are you going to be doing a 6S Logo 6003D?

Wow, that's a lot of batteries. I see you've had other distractions from the build process as well. Can't wait to here how it goes.

BTW - If you don't have the bolts for the landing skids, you might want to pick up some nylon ones for easy break away.

I flew my 10s 5350 packs again this weekend, while flying at about the 5 minute mark I heard a nitro fire up. then shut down, when I landed some asked me was that a 7 minute flight? I laughed and said 8 minutes. :YeaBaby:

Thats cool - I just ordered two 5350 6S Evo-Lites for more Logo 5003D. Looking forward to testing them out.
So, you can get 7-8 mins. of 3D with the 10S 5350's in the logo 600,

How are you hooking them up to the ESC - with a jumper or just linking the two batts with some Vplug?

Thanks,
jeff

Indeed they are 5S 5350's, which I will use as 10S packs. I'm thinking I will need a couple of plates of carbon to velcro to them or something to keep them straight. I'm really looking forward to this :D

8 Minutes!? Wow what setup for this time?

I got the tail boom on and main shaft in last night. I have to say that the new tail case is much better than the old carbon tail case because it's nowhere near as fiddly. With the old one trying to hold three bits of carbon, a dozen screws and heaps of bearings together was just a PITA. New one gets the thumbs up from me.
I'm not a fan of the circlip, and not just because I don't have the correct tool - the old main shaft pin was a much better system in my book.
The tail boom is so huge that if you get the belt twisted you can just hold it up and look right down the boom! :D :D :D

8 Minutes!? Wow what setup for this time?

Shawn this is with the Actro 24-4, a 19T pinion and my 5350's with a 2200 HS. Some 3D in tight mixed with some big sky and a few hot laps for kicks. It works, but on the heavy site for my tastes. I love the 3700's and 5 minutes. If you have CM skills it works, it's not a powerhouse like others are running out here, but it will do anything you throw at it.

8 minutes is pushing it, but I gotta get back at all the nitro boys that said "your only gonna be 4 minutes, you can go up first".

Hi John.

There are pictures of it in my flickr set:

I flew it tonight for the first time. Just a simple 5 minute timed hover, but only used 2050mAh of the pack, which means I can probably fly up to 10 minutes if I'm careful. The tail seems to drift a little, so I need to read up on tuning the tail in the vstabi, but I'm making big progress. Oh, and I have never seen a heli climb that fast, and I never went near full stick :D

Oh my god! This thing is an effen rocket! It climbs like a bat out of hell and flips and rolls are faster than anything I've ever seen, and that's with the factory default vstabi settings and normal ATV's on my radio. I'm a little concerned about the temperature of the Hacker motor but by god does it perform.

I have no clue how all of you are pulling out so little MAH out of your packs? Seriously.....

I mean I have not got alot of time on any of my Vbar machines, but with every setup I have I am running 4-4:30ish "tops" and I am landing to stay under the 80% rule, your guys flight times are well,,, almost rediculous, I am confused.

Congratulation on your maiden! It sounds like your another happy V-bar customer. Someday I'll try that out also.

That is just amazing how much flight time your estimating.

Shawn, my headspeed is only 2100rpm, which probably answers your question. My second flight today was 6 minutes 30 seconds with some fairly stick banger aerobatics and I just put 3076mAh back into the pack, which should give me 9 minutes.

Rediclous when I fly a heli that has "power" that flies for 8 minutes I will pass out, I am pretty sure of it actually. Notice how I put in the "power" that makes any "fly a 600N" statements fade quickly, lol. :rolling

Once I've finished tuning the vbar I'll get a friend to shoot some video for you :D
