What are you guys spraying on the belt, if anything - to smooth things up. I remember reading a post about this, but have not seen anything in a long while.
Thanks,
Jeff

On the 500 absolutely nothing. On the 600 some have been applying a Graphite lubricant only for static reasons with the dry weather in portions of the world.

I think we should look to other materials for the belt and see if this resolves it. The Graphite needs to be applied every 5-6 flights or when the twitch comes back and is a bit messy.

Hey guys,

Absolutely no problem with the new 600 Booms.
They are not anodiced on the inside.

We have absolutely no twitches and no lube on the belt. :)

What do you mean by a "twitch?"

"twitch" = small abrupt side to side shake like action

I have run a differant belt in the 600and the problem is solved but another problem arises when you run the Black belt to tight it strips the front pulley were the pin goes threw the main shaft. It works fine if you run the belt loose but when you try to do reversals and quick piro stuff the belt skips

As Tom mentioned the best results is wiht the new boom both of my 600's have the new boom and i only have to graphite one of the belts the other is fine

The ultimate fix is a black belt like the 500 then a beefier front pulley or even a aluminum hub for the front pulley and ther will be no more issues

Bobby,
Thanks for the info.
Did you ever have to graphite the black belt? Also do you use much D gain in your tail setup.

This company shows a neprene 730XL, as well as many other lengths in both PU and Neoprene.
