Wondering about specs when upgrading to brushless.

Seeing 54g and 40g - are heavier motors more powerful (more winds)?
Outrunner seems to be for improved cooling. Any other significant differences?
RPM - seeing 3100, 3800, and 3900 in the Esky BL motors. Max RPMs for wooden blades?
Any 25A/3s ESC okay?Thanks,
Mark M.

the 3100kv seems to be the best bet. You have more options to play with head speed. You have to dremel out the motor mount to even make the 3800kv and the 3900kv work. And also vibration increases with the HB king 2 at higher head speed(near 3000 rpm...do not go over 3000 rpm). Also do not operate the woodies over 2200 rpm. We recently had a blade thrown out of the grip, it was a total rebuild. One blade ruptured from the root while the other broke the plastic grip. Upgrade to the metal head parts and a better tail rotor set(align) if you plan to fly it athigh head speed and also use a CF blade for your's and other's safety.

Just wanted to mention 3900 does not need frame mods, it drops right in, and has more power than the 3100. It will go through a battery quicker than a 3100 though.

You still have to dremel it if you are going to use a smaller pinion.
