Just an FYI on some minor tracking issues that I have corrected...recently upgraded to metal mixing arms and still had a minor tracking issue with CF blades. I tightned the mixing arms ever so slightly so now it can still freely move but won't fall to either side when it's un hooked from linkage. (not sure if this makes sense to anyone) The tracking is perfect now. I think they were slightly too loose before giving play.

So before you upgrade anything else, try tighting the mixing arms slightly.

Thanks for the update! :D I'll have to keep that in mind next time I can't get the baldes to track perfectly. When I get home tonight, I'm going to check anyways...just the make sure they're snug enough.

I face the same problem when i had a pair of CF blade on.tried ajusting the linkage but still cant help. Does it mean i have to change the mixing arms to metal?

It seems that for most us the fix was replacing either the mixing arms or/and the washout arms. They are no that expensive though :)

Another common reason for poor tracking are the old style main rotor grips. The part which connects to the push rod can flex very badly and this has now been solved by an updated set of grips availlable from TT. The new part wont flex and therefore elliminates any tracking issues due to the main grips.

I would like to add to the very good / true comments already stated, that a full metal head goes for about $100.
Kasama, G-force, Thunder tiger and some other too.

Why to punish yourself and your heli for $100??

(Remind me how much you pay for the 4 tires on your car last time they needed an "update")

I think it is a false economy not to do the full head metal update.

But of course one is entitled to his / her opinion. LOL
