I lost another CC ESC, this time inverted. Fortunately it turned out to be one of my better autos. The real issue is I really like the CC HV85 gov but have been through 4 in the last month. All have only had damage to the controller board. I installed another one in the 8S 599 with the black belt to see how long this ESC lasts.

I have also ordered a Kontronik 55 to replace the PJ in my 10S 600. I will follow the great advice given here and add some heatsinks and run in mode 4. I will also be trying a 9 tooth tail gear for a higher tail gear ratio.

I thought that CC addressed this issue?

This makes me nervous to use my CC!

What timing did you use with the 1912? Mine is on standard but the Neu manual says to use mild timing??

Is it possible standard timing is producing too much torque & stripping gears?

Standard and 50% Gov Gain with both the 1912 and 1910 and fw 1.56. I have been flying one daily, no problems with the black belt. If you are getting the twitches, your CCs life may be short.

I don't think CC has completely fixed the static problem, they have introduced some changes, they work well, but a few days of taking hits seems to kill the controller board. I have never smoked a FET in a Logo.

John didn't you already have anti static wires installed? I was hoping that would solve the CC death problem.

Hmm, so you're saying that if CC fix the static problem it will be a rock solid ESC?

I wired my boom to the belt tension pulley & thinking of replacing the pulley with several bearings for better conduction.

I removed all anti-static pullies, ground wires, still use bearings on idler. Switching to the Neoprene belt stopped the static completely. I am even using a CF boom now. And the CC seems to be happy. Yes, if CC fixes the static issue it should be great.

Best way to fix CC issues is to use a Kontronik.

Sorry been there done that years ago. no thank you.

Cool Bobby, let us know how they work out and if Castle will offer some sort of update to existing users.
