I'll get a logo 500 3D shortly. I'm not sure what setup though.
I was thinking 600XL, CC85, KO Pro2123 on cyclic, 6100 gyro, Align BEC.
What do y'all think?

600XL motor no good - amongst other things its kV is way too high at 1700 and with the smallest pinion size 13 gives a HS around 2800 and much the same for the modulus 0.5 gear (smallest pinion 17t) - you need to check a good HS calc (http://www.dacsa.net/heli/Calculator/default.aspx)to check out the motor and aim for ~ 2200 max HS unless you are a massiv 3D star.

If your planning on running 6S, aim for a motor around 1050-1300KV. That will give you the best range on the pinions of around 14T-17T on mod 0.7.
I updated my head speed calculator (v1.0.6) with a few more motors and variable voltage adjustment per cell. That might give you some idea of what to look for in the right KV range.

Don't go with the crappy 600XL too much kv and you will kill your L500 for a 600XL failure for sure.
Go instead with Mikado Zpower 1150kv or with Hacker 1300kv or with Neu 1910H and tango 45-10 but this two are not so cheap...
If you buy the kit zpower motor from mikado include a .7 main gear and 13T pinion. But i don't remember the part number...
