Just got mine.:banana:banana:banana Build it in about 2-3hrs. The wires/electonics took the longest.
My setup:
Cyclic - 3 x HS5245MG on 6V
Battery - 2 x 3s2500 Evolite (in series for 6S, 13 Tooth pinion)
Radio - AR6100E on X9303
Gyro - Mitado V-Bar system
Tail Servo - S9256 (with step-down)
I plan on going flybarless in the future and making the head interchangable.
Note to anyone using HS5245MG: The kit comes with spacers for only 2 servos. You also need spacers on the elevator servo to get the ball link center and the back of the servo to not stick out too far and hit the canopy. I had to make my own spacer.

2-3 hours to finish it all? That is damn fast! Nice work.:)
Have you flown it yet?
What are the packs you have mounted on the pictures?
I guess you are running two times 3s in serial?

Yes, as soon as I can get extra blade grip set. I want to keep one stock and another set of head that's flybarless, that way I can change back and forth

are the spacers only for the hitec servos or do you have to make a spacer for other brand servos too?
fireup

The spacers are only needed for HS5245 because it's taller. The kit only has 2 sets for the ail. and pitch. You also need it for the elevator. Other servos don't need this type of spacers. If you're using HS81/82/5082 then the kit have a different set of spacers.

I should be there both days if nothing else changes.
I've only test hover my 500 and play around with my gryo settings... So far, I'm loving the tail. Super fast, stops on a dime with zero bounce and zero drift. Can't wait to do some high altitude tail slide.

BTW I got to go balls to the wall to get my vids done tomorrow and Friday! In fact I am not sure I will make it as I have to figure out this Curtis gyro and setup!
So I will be out this weekend but if I don't have my 500 then please understand why! It's about doing videos for the users......

Hi Bob!
Did you mean you will make a setup video for the Solid G in the T-Rex 500? That would be really nice since that is what I have bought for this machine.
I have also bought a S9257 to use with the gyro but I don't know which servo I should select in the Solid G menu. I have tried to ask a question at the CY homepage and here at HeliFreak http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=52608, but with no luck so far. So if you could figure this out as well I would be more than happy!
