I'm setting up a 601 gyro on my Spectra-G. I'm using a 9303 radio. I've read that your travel adjustment on your radio should be set to 100% left and right. Also, I read that you should have the limit settings ons the gyro set above 100% left and right (around 120% is ideal). I have setup my throttle servo wheel with the ball at 90 degrees. I then have a push-rod set at 90 degrees to the rudder pushpull bell-crank as per the instructions. I can't even get the gyro limit setting above 60% without binding. My question is, can I reduce the Dual Rates on my 9303 radio for the rudder channel (as long as I keep them equal for both left and right) so that I can keep the gyro limit settings at 120%?.
I reduced both left and right rudder dual rates on the 9303 to 24% each and I'm able to get the gyro limit settings to 120% left and right without any binding. Is this OK? Why are you supposed to have the 601 gyro limits set to 120%?
