I ordered from the UK ($162 USD including $10 shipping) on Wednesday evening. Tracking shows they shipped it FedEx, and it should be to my door in California by 10:30am Friday! WOW!
That's the BIG middle finger to Tower, huh?

Hey, me too!
They must be putting the rush on orders to fill them by Christmas. I have RF 3.5, so I guess I'm defecting! I had to pay an extra 18 bucks for the Futaba dongle, though. Dang JR/Spektrum fans...

I ordered direct as well as I could not find Phoenix in stock in the USA anywhere. It was a month or two ago, but I received it in 3 days as well. My point is that I think they are on top of their game with respect to fast shipping and customer service. Awesome AAA+++
Damn good sim as well. Really like it a lot so far. Much harder to fly than the other sims I own and I think much better for practice.

Just got Tower's mailer (2008 issue #1, about 80 pages). Real Flight is mentioned on the front page and then has a full double page as you flip the front page (total of 14 different stock numbers). Could not find any trace of Phoenix.
It's great that we can cut the middleman if he does not do his job.

Ordered mine direct from Phoenix also, got it in 4 days.
I think it's the best sim out there. Gave up on Realflight back when they stopped supporting G2. Reflex has too many bastardized helis and i can't read German. Tired of Reflex helis collapsing into the ground, and pirouetteing out of control
on power up.
The Phoenix helis are the closest to the models i've seen so far, and the updates just keep making the sim better.

Wow! Ordered it from Phoenix direct yesterday morning (27 Dec), it shipped out same day, got it this morning via FedEx. Glad I was here... I had to sign for it for some reason.
+1 for Phoenix
Now, what's the problem with all the local companies not being able to deliver quicker than they do?

Hobbico/G/P is sitting on it (not ordering anymore) and thats where everyone else in the US has to get it from. Awesome turnaround time in your case though.

Just curious , how much was the shipping. Next Day delivery from across the pond is fairly quick. I would also think fairly expensive.

I posted in the other thread, but if you look on the Phoenix site under distributors, for US/Canada they say order direct from them. NO distributor is listed.

I noticed that, too, when I ordered from them yesterday. Everybody else that lists it in the US says that it is either unavailable or on backorder.

That is because Hobbico/Great Planes was the offical distributor, and they seem to not be willing to actually order any more copies.

Hello All,
I was having a nightmare trying to set up the new version of Reflex XTR. Finally on Christmas day I gave up and ordered Phoenix direct online. I got it last night and had it set up and working with my JR9303 2.4 DSM in minutes running perfectly. It cost 165.66 Cdn everything included and was here in four days. That is 169.30 US. I have Realflight 3.5 and it blows that away. I spent days trying to make Reflux work, finally calling MRC and was told to "send it in". Send in a brand new sim which I paid 260 dollars for????
So in saying all that Order direct and you will be happier than a pig in sh__t :YeaBaby:
Plus when I ordered it I sent them an email re: interface with JR9303 and was responded to the next day. I still have not have heard back from emails sent to Reflex.

They also have a fast, excellent, no questions or nonsense, customer support!!
Pretty rare these days.
Eric
Yeah - when I could not get an issue worked out for myself, I sent an e-mail. They replyed to in less than 24 hours. after a couple of go rounds and the issue still there, they set up a telecon at a conveniant time for me (8 hours difference) and we had the issue worked in about 5 minutes. Great support and great sim.
How does Phoenix heli's fly backwards?
The reason I ask is on G3.5 the tail blows out all the time.

They fly backwards fine imo.
But when you push it to hard it blows out like IRL (looks realistic to me), all models have there own behaviour.
For me it's a great practise cause IRL i still fly forwards only :)
I hope a real pro can comment on how realistic backwards flying is in Phoenix.

Dont kow about the pro status, but I did have to reduce tail surface area a bit to get it to act like IRL. It will only blow out if head is bogged really bad.
I think this looks like unfair competition.
I would like to even out the field by putting some Phoenix stickers on all my models.
Are there some nice Phoenix-Sim stickers?

Do you have sticker printer paper??
As a matter of fact, I do have a sheet of that stuff left. Thanks .
Thanks a lot!
Pics look awsome!
Now, where do I buy such paper? Office supply store?
And use it in regular ink-jet printer?
And add some film protector on top?
Any higher res images would be nice...
