BlackWidow transmitter power qwestion

HI,

I want to avoid power regulator and power TX from 2 sell lipo = 7.4 v is it will burn it?
Also, if someone using BlackWidow 500mw 2.4ghz - what is approximate range? Do i need any extra antenna?

you can use a 2 cell pack but the TX will run warm and will lead to shorter life span.

I've had my birds as far as 1300' away and still had a signal.
