tail servo link lentgh?

OKay so still buiulding my fury. ran into slight problems but getting through them. my manual says for the tail that i should have a link at 170mm and a graphite shaft at 150mm my link is right on but the shaft is about 193mm. instructions call for putting ball link on to depth of 7mm and slidding shaft over with glue and tighten other link down. well link rod does not come through shaft. shaft is to long. should i just cut it? or should it be longer and should i get a new control rod?

You will probably cut the shaft down. You can make sure how much to cut off by assembling the rod without the shaft and getting the servo arm @ 90 and the bell crank @90 then measure the length between the links :glasses:
