OK, I'm frustrated...

Been trying to get this 9303 talking to my helis tonight and with no exceptions, the centering of the servos on the DX7 is WAY different than on the 9303 - on all 5 helis I've tried.

For example, on the 600 on the table now.. The only subtrim I have with the DX7 is 8 on AIL and 11 on PIT. ELE is 0.

On the 9303, Subtrim for AIL needs to be 68 and ELE 52. Both are setup with the throttle stick at 50 IN/50 OUT.

I've tried nuking the model(s) and starting over. I've disabled AUX3 and AUX4 (levers on the side) and set the hover pitch and throttle trims to step 0 and verified they do nothing in the Monitor screen.

I've read the "manual" in its entirety and can't see what else might be wrong. Ideas???

Yes, the subtrim values will be higher on the X9303 than on the DX7 because of the higher resolution of the X9303. DX7 has subtrim range of +/- 125 while X9303 has +/- 250

But the new values should be 16 and 22 then.. And is that resolution even with an AR7000 receiver or does the Rx even matter?

Well, a different radio will have a little different center position. You may have to go to a differnent spline on the servo arm to get it better center prior to subtrim. I don't think reciever matters. AR6000s and AR7000 may require you to go two clicks before any movment will take place.

yeah, tried juggling spline positions already.. best I can do is 52 on subtrim...

I have run into the same thing on some models. I think the subtrim steps are VERY small.

I can get a horn that looks ALMOST perfect, and still end up with 30 or 40 subtrim.

Same here.

Glad I saw this. I thought I had done something WRONG.

OK, I've got one bird set up on the new radio. Still not 100% on the 611 setup with the Gyro menu, but it's working the right way. Won't have an opportunity to test fly until tomorrow tho...

Hopefully it'll go ok...

Thanks guys!
