FUT 601 Gyro and dx7

question, how do I set up 601 with DX7 where I can retoggle the gyro in heading hold to get the servo to center. I used to be able to do that with my old radio, with the DX7 I can't center the servo with toggling the switch - maybe its really not needed, but was something I had on my old radio before the DX7 showed up,
