While practicing on my G3 one of the gimbals tension springs suddenly let go .:arggg: Yea they are made pretty cheap ! upon further inspection ( I grabbed a Philip's and operated ) I found that they use a little tiny molded in post as a hinge for a lever in which the tension spring attachés on the other side. well any way I figured out a pretty simple fix and even had the foresight to take pics while I fixed it so if anyone has or had the same problem chime back to this thread and I'll do my best to show the fix .:)

Mine broke. How did you fix yours?

OK here goes
first I used a 2mm carbon rod (left overs from a foamy ) or get it at your LHS
and you need a drill bit just a little smaller or the same size ( rod should be snug in hole !)
1- disassemble.
2- locate and drill hole. ( thats the hard part )
3- sand exposed end of rod with fine paper (320 ) till lever pivots smooth .
4- cut rod to length -leave a little on the outside of hole to glue to -see pics
5-test fit ! make sure its not going to interfere with movement of gimbals/trim adjuster ( I had to make 3 before I got the length just right )
6- with rod in place sparingly glue from outside of hole with thin CA (you don't want this to wick through and bind up the lever later )
7- reassemble
:) hope this helps, mine still works great !

The main thing is, when you drill the hole for the rod(or whatever you are going to use), be sure to drill it straight. If not, the rod will be a little crooked & throw off the centering of the stick. That is what happened to mine. I sent it back to Hobby Services & they still repaired it free of charge. Kudos to Hobby Services for their service & support.
