hi all , as the title said , ive just come back from the shop ,and bought meself a graupner/jr ifs module to fitt my ff9. and ofcourse 2 receivers to put in my heli's . the first 1 i got working and ready to fly , its in my trex 600 e , where i got it sitting underneeth the boom , on that mounting plate , almost sticking out with the small antenna thing as sugested by graupner/jr .
but , the second 1 needs to go in my raptor 50 , and theres no place for letting him feel the air . only way i get it in there is , as usual with pcm , in front where the servos are , and it will be covered by the canopy .
the manual says to avoid that , is it save or do i get into trouble ??
thanks in advance ferry.

Assuming this is the same as a JR, and therfore Spektrum, receiver? If so, then it will work fine up front. Lots of raptors flying AR7000s at our local field. Main RX centered up front, secondary stuck on the frames somewhere else. Placement not real critical.

You should avoid CF canopy if the RX is under the canopy. As you see, i have my two RX's well outside of what the manufacturer recommends, as a matter of fact, the t rex's RX is milimeters from ALU block and inside CF frame.
Still it works great and i have never had a hickup what so ever.

I have passed the range check:
Without antenna i had 10 meters range minimal,
with antena, i went very very far, had a 10 minute walk, still working fine.
