The RevLock had performed wonderfully in my Spectra-G!;)

No flight condition that I have put the model in has resulted in an overspeed using the RevLock. I even put the model in a high speed dive in FFF then brought collective through center with NO RPM gain that could be detected!!

I recently chased a problem where I had overspeed and erratic running while off of the RevLock governor. It seemed that my throttle curves were constantly changing. As soon as I enabled the RevLock, the overspeed would go away. I finally had a situation (while trying to find out what was wrong) when the RPM hung to a very high idle in HOLD mode.

I found that my throttle servo case was broken and the ears broken off from a previous incident that I had not discovered. The servo was still "pinched" between it's mounting blocks within the frames so as to hide the problem. The servo appeared to be fine until I looked at it very closely.

I changed out the servo and set the RevLock back up and everything is once again great.

This means that the RevLock was not only doing it's job but it was also compensating for a servo that was moving around in the frames!! Beat that!

The only problems that I have seen are from pilots not getting the set-up correct. Once the set-up is corrected (done per instructions) their problems go away.

One observation: If the gain is too high, the throttle will "wag" much the same as a gyro with too high a gain will do. Having the throttle "wag" upon spool up is very unnerving the first time it happens!!Turning the gain pot down will make this issue go away.
