Gettin into the electric 600's need some advice on Chargers. Also looking at the E-Station BC8.
How do you set up for this and also do they have to both go on charge at the same time. I'm asuming they would since only one out put device. I know it takes two LBA 10 balancers to do this configuration.
Also by the specs of the New EOS 0610i net would you be able to do the same 2x6sp as the 1210i.
The 0610i charger has the same features with 250w/10A Vs the 1210i at 180W /10A.

Go with the higher wattage set up-I have the 1210i-it works well-more watts would be nice

You need two LBA 10's connected by a network cable. The charger sees it as a 12S pack. I have done this, but if the packs are very far off balance from each other, it takes a long time. I think it took an hour and a half for 2 packs, charging to 100%. THe balancing took the longest, since it tries to balance all 12 cells the same. Additionally, the packs must be the same manufacturer and close in the number of cycles. (ie: don't charge a new pack with an old one) Also the voltages on the packs needs to be close.
It worked well, but it also used 20A on my power supply to push two packs. I think the higher wattage charger would be the way to go, if the above criteria were met.

I use a Deep cycle marine battery when doing My to 6S 5000's at the same time it also helps to run the packs down with the same flight times and then balance before you charge and then during. Off set packs will take longer and it also is recommended to charge to packs at the same time that have to very different voltage readings. Other than that the EOS1210i is a great charger.
