100 plus flights on engine.
Engine has 25 % less power and I notice higher vibration than normal. harder to start as well.
no recent crashes, no over heating. Could this be a rear bearing Issue? spitting and sputtering under
quick movements. Also, will tend to lock up while starting now.

all fuel lines good, no cracks etc. filter is clean.
Any Ideas?

Thank you!

Quite possibly, but with the power loss and hard starting a broken piston cannont be rulled out. It's time to pull that puppy out and take a look.

Yea if it rattles when its idling its probably time for bearings. Take it apart and find out before it comes apart in the engine, then you're looking at a rebuild that costs almost as much as a new engine.

If you send in to OS, how much are rebuild cost?

If you bought your engine from a U.S. or Canadian dealer and the engine is less than two years old and you send it in to Hobby Services it will be fixed free of charge. Hobby Services is the repair center for Great Planes, the U.S. and Canadian distributor of OS engines.

If you don't qualify for warranty service hobby services will charge parts plus labor. Piston ring $20, piston $28, cylinder liner $43, rear bearing $18.50 and front bearing $14.50. I've never had hobby services fix an engine out of warranty, but the labor charge is probably around $20 and you have to figure shipping both ways. You can see that with shipping and a totally trashed engine it can cost as much as $150 to have hobby services fix an out of warranty engine.

Moral of the story is pull that puppy out and fix what's wrong with it before it gets totally torn up. :)

I would try a new plug. If that dont fix it then rip it down and take a look. I opened mine after 9 gallons and it all looked fine. Broke the ring putting it back in, after that it started to idle better but, still ran funny. Put a fresh plug in and I have a new motor. Runs perfect now.
