OK, I am a little new to this and a friend helped me set up my DX7 so I could have a Model 2 on my DX7 for my Trex450. Basically just copied the original settings from Model 1 and then we changed the throttle and pitch curves to be more aggressive.

I went out to fly today to try it out, but the receiver (AR6100) wouldn't initialize.

I turned on the radio, then plugged in the battery....the tail centered, but the receiver/motor didn't go through it's little beeps and the swash didn't settle in.......I couldn't move any of the servos with the radio .....like there was no battery/dead. I unplugged/plugged in the battery a couple of times but no luck.

(Oh, and I haven't been able to contact my friend yet, so I figured I would post here :) )

Thanks for any help!

DX7 has model match, so you have to rebind the Rx to the other memory position. Then to go back to Model 1, you need to bind back to that memory.

You should have a bind plug, which is a servo plug with a loop or wire and a red tag that says "Bind Plug".

Turn on the Tx and select the model you want to bind to. Turn Tx off.

With the power off, plug the bind plug into the Batt port on the Rx. Power up the Rx and you should have the LED blinking bright and fast.

While holding the bind button on the Tx IN, turn on the Tx.

Watch the LED on the Rx, it should change the blinking, then it will go off, then it will come on solid. Power down the Rx, and remove the bind plug. Turn the Tx off, then back on. Power up the Rx and the LED should fairly quickly go to solid and you are ready to fly.
