Mudsurfer1234, I live in the Chesterbrook / Wayne area, which is about a 5 minute drive to VFSS! I applied and paid for the AMA membership 3 weeks ago but I haven't recieved my "offical" license yet (I'm going to call on Monday). Once I get that I'm going to find some time to stop by one of the VFSS meetings and apply for membership. I'm not sure how membership works but I'd like to be able to fly at their field(s) by Spring or early Summer. I noticed in your sig that you have the 8717s... lol damn, what are your expo/DRs set too? Our 600 rolls and turns really fast with the expo @ 50 for flight controls and the DR @ 100% (we're using the Futaba 9452's). I've heard the 8717's are the best out there (BLS from Futaba?), and they can take more voltage...
Also, we took it out back behind our house just to do some hovering today (I also did 1 flip... couldn't help it :)). I noticed a subtle amount of tail shake and I think it's related to moving the gyro from zeal to the thin dbl sided tape. There was also a small amount of tail drift (can't remember which direction but I think it was to the left) caused by the wind (10-15mph cross wind from the right). The engine wasn't in as good of a tune as yesterday so that could have affected it as well... If it's there after tweaking the engine tune I'm going to knock the gain down a couple of points from 62 to 60 (which won't help the drifting... so I might reduce the expo on the rudder). Or I might put it back on the Zeal.
