Ok Freaks a free HELIFREAK skin job for the Phoenix T-Rex600 Nitro. Here is a preview of what it looks like in my Festive Scene

(Brrrr its well chilly )

Anyway if you want to use it just backup your old BMP file first usually located in :-

C:\Program Files\PhoenixRC\resources\objects\aircraft\helicop ters\Performance\trex600nitro.bmp

Now overwrite it with the attached file. Note I have zipped it up to reduce the file size.

This wasn't as easy as I first thought as the HeliFREAK logo only works when viewed from the right so I had to basically start again for the left side of the bird but it seemed to work out OK. Anyway I think its time for some Festive Beers.

EDIT just another pic to show the other side to show the non standard Helifreak logo.

Hey how do we go about backing up our orignal files??

Could one of you also upload the original file because I forgot to back it up before I uploaded the new one. If it's not to much to ask could you also upload the original sound and wind files.

Thanks!

P.S. Great looking bird!

OK Raptor Find attached is the original untouched white T-Rex600 Nitro file if you wanna revert back to it. Just rename the file extension to bak so you know what it is and change it to BMP when you want to use it again. :YeaBaby:

Also the WAV files both 600n and wind files again just stick them in the same folder and rename the extension.

Merry Christmas Guys

Cheers

Another tip for making a back-up:
Select the files in the explorer that you want to replace and add them to a archive (backup.zip or rar) in the same directory.
Then just unpack the modified files and overwrite the original ones.
If you want the original back, just unpack the earlier created archive and overwrite the modified files again.
That's what i do.

Nice Helifreak canopy btw!!
Hope someone writes a small converter for this bmp format...
I'm not that good with a Hex-editor...know how to photoshop pretty well :)

Eric the hex edit was dead easy a 5 year old could do it. Devin DH pointed me in the right direction so I did a bit of research on the net after that it was easy. The good news for you Freaks is I have converted all of them so they are editable, just add your own paint in Photoshop or MS Paint etc....

You can get them Here:fly (http://homepage.ntlworld.com/glenn.royds/Heli%20BMP.zip)
Note this is a big file approx 24Mb in size (http://homepage.ntlworld.com/glenn.royds/Heli%20BMP.zip)
