Hello, i have belt-cp and its tail rotor is not working properly. here is what happened. It was working fine.. And all of a sudden, i saw my heli spinning on counterclock wise direction. thats when i noticed that my tail rotor was not moving at all. I checked if the belt is fine and tried to move main rotor to see if tail rotor moves. It DID! And then again i tried to throttle up a bit, and i saw tail rotor move but after few seconds, tail rotor came to still again. So its very flaky, some time it rotates with main rotor and sometimes it doesnt. And the other part is EVEN when the tail rotor rotates, my heli keeps spinning on counter clock wise direction. What might have happened? Any suggestions?
I cant point my finger on it, but i think it started happening after a bad landing. Actually not very bad either, lets say after "not so good" landing. Are the parts so weak that it might after happened after that landing?

Could be one of the belt pulleys slipping on its shaft, or maybe a one way bearing problem.

One way problem would keep the main rotor from rotating.
Either one or both tail pullys are slipping, the tail hub is slipping on the stail shaft, or the belt teeth have stripped, or the belt flipped over so the teeth are on the wrong side.
Withteh heli OFF, grab the tail rotor hub and the main rotor hub and try to rotate against each other, if you can, then look and see where things are slipping.

hey guys, i think i found the problem.. I held the tail rotor with my hand and i could easly rotate the main rotor.. That means either the belt is stripped or belt is loose right? Now do i tighten the belt? Anyone has experience with belt-cp? i think i just need to loosen 4 screws where the tail boom goes and pull the tail boom. But its not working now. Any other screws i need to loosen/ take out? Thanks a lot.

You have to first figure out what is wrong. The belt could be VERY loose. Thge belt could be stripped. The belt could have flipped over.
The tail hub could be loose on the tail shaft. The tail shaft drive pulley could be loose. The tail drive pulley up front could be loose on the shaft. The drive gear for the front pulley could be loose.
Tightening the belt may NOT be the problem.
