View Full Version : Is a Logo a good choice for more flight time than the Trex 600 E?

I want more flight time than the 5 min.s I am getting from my Trex 600E. What do you guys recommend in a Logo that is about as big, or bigger than the Trex, and 3D capable?

You get nothing for free in life - you can have size - performance - duration but you can't have all 3 :) - My Logo 5003D is 3D capable on 6S and 515 blades and can get 8 mins out of a 5000 FP pack but it's a tad smaller than the T600.

John have you tried 550mm mains yet?

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I think the 500 is about a foot shorter.

If you run 560mm blades on the Logo500 your looking at only 3 inches shorter in blade span. The power to weight ratio is going to be better than the T600. My L5003D weighs in at exactly 6lbs or 2.7kg I've been running the EVOlite 6S 5350 and at 2300+ HS can get 6:30-7 minutes but I've been running at 6:00 during breakin and putting back 70%. Running around 2000->2150 could probably yield 8+ minutes.

Yeah Shawn - they're great and IMHO give it quite a Logo 600 feel - I like the zip and insane cyclic response of the 515s though :)

Just to point out the OP didn't ask specifically about a Logo 500 - the 600 would presumably be a better match to the T-Rex. I would assume it would have better duration, as it is lighter and has more efficient gears. But I don't _Know_.

Duration similar overall depending on packs and flying style - I run 6:00 on my 8S T600 and 5:30 on my 10S L600 and 6:30 on my 6S L500 which is why I suggested the L500 as similar size yet better perormance and duration,

It's a good point, and it wasn't a criticism. Just wanted to point out it wasn't the only option.

My wife even observed that the Logo 500 on 560mm mains was pretty close to the T-Rex 600 in size. Couple that, with 1 lb. less weight, and a V-Bar, and you've got lots more time. For my (lousy) flying style, it is 7 minutes vs. 9+.

All that for the sacrifice of 4cm...

I can't speak of the Logo 600, as mine's still under construction ;)

I'm getting 8:30 on 12's 3700 packs on L14. Putting 2500 back. I'm running 2 6s packs. What would work nice if your t-rex 6s packs would fit the L 600, then you would have 12s 5000, which should give you around +10min flight time or more (guestimate that is). With V-bar, you will have one mother of a machine, and could still use your packs in your t-rex.

What motor, ESC & Blades are you using?
