I will be running a TP1010 charger and ICE charger to charge my 6s 2500mah packs(Trex 500) and my 3s 2170mah packs(Trex 450)..Instead of only being able to charge at home what kind of generator set-up would I want to look at so I can charge out in the field..I don't want to spend too much but want a decent set-up if thats possible..(most of the time not) I have a 23A power supply that I use to charge at home but want to know what I will need to charge out in the field..Any info would be great...

Thanks
Justin

I use a Honda EU-1000 generator. You won't need any more than a 1000 watts.

I run a Honda EU2000i, but it's tasked with more than driving the occasional charger. The 1Kw unit will be PLENTY for field charging.

Thanks... Now where is the best place(price wise) to purchase it??

Now is there any special way I should run my chargers of this generator....

Is this unit pretty much the same thing...Looks very similar and I have found them a little cheaper then the Honda's..

I've seen the Kipors in action. They're pretty good.

But in all honesty go with the Honda. You won't be dissapointed. They're extremely quiet. Quality is top notch. Never even had a hicup with my 3000 in the past couple years.

I considered a Kipor, but then decided the Honda, while 1/3 more expensive, is a Honda. It's gonna run forever.

I bought my generator from Mayberry Supply in New Jersey. www.mayberrys.com

I've been using a Honda EU1000 for two years at the field for charging and love it.

It isn't cheap, but you get what you pay for!

I've been running a Kipor 1300tc for over a year now and it's working out really well. It's 950 watts and I can easily have 3 TP1010's go full bore at it (charging 8.25amps 6s), 4 will work but not for long.
I use about 1,5 liter of petrol for a full afternoon of constant charging 3 batteries. Not to bad.

Anyway, I would also recommend a Kipor or Honda (for me a Honda would have been 2,5 times the price of the kipor!!)

Cheers,

Richard
