I am just change my 9XII with spektrum module+AR7000 receiver. I have tried to turn on the receiver first, then on the radio after 5 to 10 seconds. Only the small receiver will flash and no movement when i am move any stick. Is that normal or my receiver is bad?

You need to bind the receiver to the transmitter.
In the manual.
You should have a bind plug, which is a servo plug with a loop or wire and a red tag that says "Bind Plug".
Turn on the Tx and select the model you want to bind to. Turn Tx off.
With the power off, plug the bind plug into the Batt port on the Rx. Power up the Rx and you should have the LED blinking bright and fast.
While holding the bind button on the Tx IN, turn on the Tx.
Watch the LED on the Rx, it should change the blinking, then it will go off, then it will come on solid. Power down the Rx, and remove the bind plug. Turn the Tx off, then back on. Power up the Rx and the LED should fairly quickly go to solid and you are ready to fly.

I too have just installed a Spektrum module to my beloved JR 9XII. I got the module with the AR9000 receiver but plan on using that for the 600E that I haven't got yet! And bought an AR6100e for my Trex 450SE.
I've done the binding and all is good from that side. Only problem is that when I do the range check as per the manual, I'm only getting about 7 paces away before it goes into fail safe. I've tried everything, relocating the receiver and all, but nothing is making a difference.
I swapped out the receiver with the AR9000 just to test if it was prehaps the AR6100e, but the range only increased a few paces. Still a lot less than it's supposed to be!
So I put the AR6100e back in. I also went back to the LHS and swapped the module package for another one. Still the same range!!! Now what? I'm too scared to fly this thing.
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards
Neil

Has anyone else had a problem with range checking the Spektrum?
Yes, my 6100 only gets half the range check it is meant to ... still works fine though. I have put more flights in on my Trex450 than any other spektrum RX and never had a problem.
I also use the 6100 in my foamy plane and can fly it up very high without any issues.
Cheers,
Luke
