Well well, havent crashed in some time now with everything working so good.(new all metal from the neck down, including carbon fiber blades) Hawk Pro flew sooo smoooooth it was magic! Here it is Christmas day sunny and 55 deg Fayetteville Arkansas (wind 5-10 with 15 mhp gust,) What a perfect time to test the winds. Took off ff flight back and forth, to and from, nose in nose out, man what fun! Ran out of fuel, so refueled and ready to go, Took off, same thing, Man it felt so good and was really getting to think i was the (bomb) know that word because my kids say it all the time. Started out on a steep climb spun around and all of a sudden Frances (my helis name) took a flight plan like of brick. Hit the ground hard on her side and continued to cultivale the ground with her new carbon fiber blades intell i could get her shut down. I just stood their in awe thinking what tha @#$%! Walked over to the burial sight and man what a mess, Blades (main and tail) destroyed, Tail boom bent, Electronics hanging out of the canopy like guts, Windshield was approx 10 feet from the crash, 1 main blade grip cut off, 3 Links bent beyond recognition. It didnt even look like a heli i have ever seen, The neighbors dogs were even hawling! Well im a freak just like the rest of you and the first thing i thought was I CAN REBUILD IT!:smokin:

Just now looking everthing over, its hard to tell but think it was was a broke ball linkage. The damage is so bad that some of those things could have been broken in the crash. Dont think it had anything to do with the radio, the dx7 has been flawless, The heli just seemed to not be able to right its self, Hate to say it but it may have been operator error!! Need one of those black boxes or something that real aircraft use after a crash.

well if you lost a ball link you would have some control. If you lost the radio (like voltage) you would have no control. Did you run a load test on your pack preflight?

Found the problem i think, battery plug pulled out of the receiver! it was the only one disconnected after the crash. I had just yesterday relocated the receiver and may have pulled it out somewhat and did not notice because its on the bottom. During the flight it vibrated the rest of the way out intell it lost connection. Man these helis go down like a broke jack if everything is not in perfect order!!!!!!!!!!!
