I wont ask why you chose to tie it down to a table as it puts stress on things where it does not belong.

Fly it and look. You can be 10 turns out and the helicopter will still fly. ;)
You should be really really close if you set up the head right. Last time I set up a head the tracking needed NO adjustments. If interested watch this (no stinking pitch gauge) video. (http://video.helifreak.com/?subpath=finless/trex500&filename=step10.wmv)
