I am just got an Apache RTF 4ch for X-mas and am already looking to upgrade. I have a sim and am happy to learn on my Apache so as to minimize damage on learning on something better.
So far it seems the Trex is very popular and parts seem readily available on many sites.
I have no LHS as well so if anyone has advice on an online shop that would be appreciated. I have checked out RC & Me, Heliproz and Helidirect, among others.
Thanks in advance for all the help. I learned about this site from the RC Heli Mag site and heard great things.

ReadyHeli is the place to buy your new heli. They are awesome!

I'm kinda partial to buying from RHR myself.

Any of the sites advertising on HF should be good to deal with - Will and the gang don't tolerate BS or poor service ;)

It seems as well that there are a number of people selling on this site. Is this a good option for getting a Trex or should I buy new? The prices seem about half for something flown only a few times. Any suggestions?

A used heli may be a super deal or a super headache.

For your first real heli, I would say go new if you can afford it. That way you know that everything is all right, adn that any problems aren't due to worn or broken parts. Once you know what is going on, then used can be fine.

I prefer to buy my helis new, but I do buy used electronics (gyros, servos, receviers, etc).
