Hey guys!
Has anybody figured out yet which servos might fit on the Blade 400 other than the DS75's?
I killed one already and will be moving the tail servo to the cyclic and put a different servo at the tail (not sure which one yet). But if I kill another DS75, I'll be out of options, since the DS75's aren't shipping yet.
Thanks!

The HS65s will fit as well, but just barely. You will have to force the two rear ones in, but they will go. Make certain that whatever servo you go with, has the same servo arm hole spacing as stock. The servo arms on the two mentioned servos have the proper spacing. The JR 3400G tail servo fits the frame with no mods as well.
3DChopper, You can use gear set SPMDSP751 to repair your servos. That part number is a spectrum number and is available now.

here is the pack.
Those servos look like the mounting holes are much different than the single screw on each side (middle) of the DS75/S75 servos.
Unless there's some alternate way of mounting them, it doesn't look like these will be "plug and play". :(

With 400 kit and new servo kit your getting up in the Trex 450 price range.
I have also read, that a lot of people are going to a Futaba 401 gyro....
Glade I got a Trex right from the start.:tongue

Yes that's true,,and I'm loving it!
I really like to read the old post like, Why would you spend all that money on a Trex? When you can get this one for $400.00 with radio, and it will fly as GOOD as a Trex.
Lets see, most are already buying different servos and gyro's and using bigger and better batteries. The cost keeps going up and up to make this thing fly LIKE a Trex.
Have Fun,, keep the post coming... LOL

I am very new and agree with the rest, so your trex is the best thing so post it in the trex forum, this forum is for blades. I have a 400, love it, haven't replaced a thing (yet) I plan to buy a trex next year and I will post how much I love it in the proper forum.

Sorry,,as you all know,, I have not said anything that others, are talking about.( Servos ,Battery,Gyro.)
So,, IMO I am sharing good information. ( You might not like it.)
I didn't think I was doing anything wrong in here.
I have read many post like mine on other web sites.
I have even read post (on other helicopters setups ) from FINLESS that were informative ,and some people ( didn't like what Bob had to say).
And I didn't know you were getting complaints ?
So,, I will try and not speak my mind as others have done.:(
For what it's worth, the Spektrum DSP75 gears are identical to the DS75 E-Flite servo gears. I ordered some gears from Horizon and got them in on saturday. I checked each gear (diameter & pitch) and they all match up.
Horizon's tech's told me they weren't the same, but I ran across someone on a message board mentioning they may be the same. After seeing them side-by-side, I can say they definately are. Swapped out the gears and I was back in business...
These are the gears from the servo that E-Flite calls out in the manual as a replacement for the tail servo for "true" digital mode gyro use.
I have a feeling the Spektrum servo can be used to replace all the cyclic servos as well, but I don't have enough experience to know for sure. I just started this hobby a couple weeks ago with the Blade 400 (with a little stick time on a CX).

did your trex come with servos, a 401 gyro, tx and reciever? Or did you buy them yourself?
