started with cx2 about mounth ago have about 100 flights, and my flight times are down to about 3min using stock batterys &motors, the volts on batterys all read around 9.6volts the inner&outer shafts are straight, just wondering what else it could be ,not really sure what batterys should read or if could be 3-1 or motors, thanks

I'm not at 100 flight at all... maybe 50 on mine and I just received a FP pack for christmas, just for the fun of having 2.... and boy does I love the punch this pack has... not sure if the eflite was ever that good but there is a big difference between my old eflite and my new FP :)

At 100 flight... it could be simply the pack wearing out. Do you run it until the heli can barely lift itself?

That might very well be to late.

Some claim, that one too low discharge can kill a Li-Po

With the next pack, try to time your flight, instead of flying until you can "feel" that the battery is "dying"

Peter

PS: Afther I have started to use a "professional" Hyperion charger/balancer, I have brought my CX2 Li-Po's back to life ;)

i`m going to order a couple of the dn li-po i found on-line i just wasnt sure if was the battery because all 3 eflite batterys are doing about the same times.one guy at lhs says it could be 3-1 but i never really heared of them causing that.where did you pick up the hyperion charger/balancer?

mine was doing the same thing same approx flights 100. I replaced the motors and now get a full 10 mins +/- depending on the battery.

Yeah, I bought newer better batteries, better charger, nothing worked until I replaced the motors.

Mine seems to be worn out too.

Which motors did you use, and where did you bye them?

I went with the xtreme 180 bearing motors, they barely even get hot. Never been too hot to touch. I forget where I bought them, I order from so many different vendors. If you want quick and dont mind the price, check your LHS. Mine had them but for 23 bucks each I got them for something like 31 or 32 for the pair.

I live in Denmark, where you LHS has a whole different meaning. ;)

I believe that we have 3-4 hobby shops that sell E-flite products in the entire country :YeaBaby:

put new motors in heli worked great as far as flight times, but the nose keeps drifting to right pretty bad even with prop. gain adjusted all the way to - counterclockwise and all trimmed out,any ideas what it could be?

There are two adjustment pots for the tail. One is gain, and the other is "center tail stick" (I have forgotten the proper name). Are you sure you adjusted the center stick pot?
It worked great for me, and I only had to adjust 45 degrees or so.

Adjust the proportional pot to get rid of unintended yawing. You have to unplug the battery each time you adjust the proportional. Gain can be adjusted without powering down.

Are both your motors turning freely? And do they seem to run at the same RPM when you start to "idle up"?

sounds like binding on that motor gear. Make sure all mounts are true.

Make sure the motor plugs are in the correct slots.
