Just was woundering. I'm running a 9253 for my throttle, and I noticed that the carb has a return spring. Should I disconnect the spring on the carb? So there is no force on the servo. What is everyone else doing on this ? :D

The operaters guide, downloadable from MA site, recommends disconnecting the return spring because it's tension puts undue force on the servo.cheers :D

i gave my spring a slow gental pull till it unwinded completely off....now no worry of it ever getting binded or jamed in any kinda way......it pulls off very easy..

It is best NOT to remove the spring but just to unhook it and possibly clip off the hook. The spring also acts to take up slack in the throttle shaft and butterfly and removing it can cause the throttle shaft to wear more quickly in the carb body.

when i cliped mine it was takeing any slack in the though shaft...it was just flopping around when the engine was running...i didnt know if it would cause interference or not ...i do know metal to metal is not good...i did not see any reason for it to stay on as it was just bouncing around...O well its off now ..lol..i will keep an update as i get more flights on it and if any wear and tear forms..... only thing i am leary of now it the new tail shaft i got...is it really better ..will it break on me....??...i hope not..i dont want to go to the field scared to fly this kick ass heli....thanks for the info...
