hi all,
have been flying my e550 for over 30 flights with 11t pinion, 550mm blades, and 6s 5000mah batt giving me 10mins flights.
I am now finishing the build of my e620 to go into ecureuil bodyshell and was thinking of using same 6s 5000mah batt.
With 600mm blades should i use the 9t pinion or 11t?
any advise
many thanks

If you had mentioned the motor you're using or the KV it could have help people answering your question. What I can say is that 6S for 620 seems pretty low to me. (I'm running 10S Lipo or 12S A123).
Anyway Happy flying.

You will not be happy with 6s on a 620 heli. Been down that road and will never go back. You need at least 8s.

Well he is wanting it for a scale heli and is not looking for a high head speed and 3D correct? For scale heli this should work OK

thanks for advise,
I was looking to use same motor and esc as stock 550 setup,
I have had many flights with stock 550 setup and there seams to be plenty of power.
I will not be doing any 3d with scale model and do not need insane power.
thanks again for your help

I have an E550 in my Funkey Hughes 500E, running a Raptor 50 tail boom and 600mm blades. I'm using 6S TP5000 packs and running the 9T pinion with the 'stock' E550 motor (Z30-1100) and ESC, this gives around 1800rpm headspeed at 95-100% throttle. At the moment my timer is set for 6 minutes and I'm using around 3000mAh out of the packs so 7 minutes is easily acheiveable, the battery and motor are landing barely warm. I was originally using the 11T pinion with a headspeed around 2180rpm on 550mm blades but going down to the 9T allows you to run high % throttle curves which is more efficient.
A 6S setup is more than adequate for scale flying, even throwing in the odd loop and roll plus a little inverted flight, I still have the radio set for the 3D curves that I was using in it's pod and boom guise.
