hi
i'm running out of permatex liquid threadlocker (which works great) but i have an entire tube the the lite bue gel like threadlocker. i've used it to rebuild one of my cars and bike but when i loosen the screws, it doesn't give way with the 'snap' that the liquid stuff does. my question is is it okay to use the gel threadlocker on a trex 450se v2 when i get it? or should i just go and buy another tube of the liquid threadlocker to be safe?
thanks, kenny

As long as you can apply it in small enough amounts, it should be fine.

I use the liquid and the stick interchangeably.

i think the gel/paste threadlockers are more of a "gooey" substance that holds like hair gel, rather then the liquid threadlock that dries brittle like glue. just a theory, though it makes sense.
