good day to all.
I've been flying planes for almost a year... starting to find them a bit on the boring side. I really want to progress with heli's now
I have a honey bee king 2, nice little heli, it's taken a bit of a beating lately.
I thought to myself when I bought myself my first plane "I don't need no stinkin' SIM!"... and well, somehow I was right, I've had a few crashes and now I can point my planes anywhere and not crash.

Anyways, I think I really need a sim for my heli's. I'm SUPER PRO (so what if it's an over exageration) at tail in, I can do anything I want during tail in, I can do a bit of side on, nose in I pretty much require new underwear.
On FMS and HeliSimRC I can do anything I want, nose in, tail in, side in, flips, inverted flight nose in... tail in inverted flight seems to be a bit tricky.
But I need something much more accurate then those sims. Firstly, I'll need a new TX because I have a Airtronics VG6000, I was thinking of buying the DX6i seeing as the DX7 is a bit on the pricey side.
I really want something like a Copter X because a Rex is a bit too expensive.

thanks in advance :]

Good deals to be had on Realflight G3.5 now that 4 is out.

Cheap and accurate go together like Happy and paying taxes.

How about FREE?

Very nice free sim, but you will need to find a controller.

If you are going to buy a sim, the best, IMO, is Phoenix. www.phoenix-sim.com Good graphics, super physics, and free updates.

If you're looking for something a bit cheaper, you can try ClearView. I'm not sure how accurate it is, but all I can say it's much harder to fly than FMS (which is a piece of junk IMO). I didn't like the new free "helisim" either, although it's a nice effort. It just doesn't "feel" as good as clearview.

It has a demo mode which lets you fly for about 10 minutes before it expires. Doesn't hurt to check it out.

The website is either clearviewrc.com or rcflightsim.com, but the 2nd seems to be having difficulties... I'm sure it will be fixed soon.

I got the link from here: http://www.clearviewrc.com/forum/

phoenix rc seems very nice. Too bad it'll be around $200 australian including shipping :(
just wondering, when the model crashes, is it like FMS and other free sims?
Or does the model explode into a hundred pieces (much like a few of my real life models )

It breaks into a few parts. Early versions did very little, as they figured most people wanted to quicker reset and back to flying, but they added some crash damage.
