The specs for the gyro are 4.8-6.0 volt. All the specs I find on the 8900G have it at 4.8 only. So if you running 6V is the voltage automatically dropped by they gyro to the servo or is a regulator needed? When my friend bought this we had a step down regulator in hand but the LHS said we would not need it for this combo is why im asking. I didnt think the gyro regulated the voltage to the servo.

Also does anyone know they current draw for the 8900 servo? The gyro current is 80ma but cant find anything on the servo.

Thanks

You need a step down between the gyro and servo.

Or you can do it yourself. Get a 1N4001 diode from Radio Shack, install in the center wire (or you can do so in a short servo extension) with the bnad end towards the servo.
