isn't that ^ the truth. to have subtrim alone is a 100% improvment.

What is subtrim used for? Had it available for 17 years on transmitters and never used it?

Sub trim is an electronic correction for mechanical setup errors.
If your servo arms don't line up just right you correct this condition with subtrim.

Didn't know there was such a thing as mechanical setup errors. Why would someone not do the setup correctly? The servo arms/wheels are offset splined. They can be rotated till they line to where needed. And a wheel can be drilled to where needed. No need to use subtrims and upset the neutral.

Right!, but I wouldn't say "errors", just minor corrections to set servos at neutral or at desired position. I learned it from Finless videos, "subtrims" are very usefull in special with helis. Also I had it in my previous radios and I didn't know what the hell they were used for.

is davidh being intentionally obtuse? ever think it's possible that someone might not have a servo wheel that lined up perfect? also it could come in handy when you can't get a linkage to the exact length needed. a few clicks of subtrim is a good thing to have sometimes, although i'd rather not need to use it. it's definitley something that comes into play more often with rc cars and trucks.
