All cylic servo gears stripped...Had a small crash yesterday doing inverted autos and the ground jumped up and bit the trex 600 nitro... the audience in back of me kept saying lower..lower! basically ran out of head speed and fell from about 5 feet up on its side. Broke main blades, tail blades, both main blade grip links, main gears, landing gear(breakaway) and one or two other parts. tail boom and bevel gears are suprisingly intact. This is the first real crash with this heli and it was really not a bad one. I keep track of how many flights this thing has and it was actually the 100th flight humm maybe bad karma. Anyways got it home and started dissecting it and noticed every servo was not operating correctly. Took them all apart and I stripped every one of the small plastic gears in each of the servos. I am a little disapointed that they stripped so easily and that I had to spend $78 for 3 new complete sets of metal gears for 3 $1 plastic gears... Has anyone else had this problem? Anybody know if you can buy that plastic gear anywhere or do I have to buy the entire set of metal gears... p.s. the heli is set up correctly no binding or anything of that sort

I found an old thread that suggests the 9151 and 9252 servos use that same nylon gear, and those gearsets are only $6.99 on tower. I have no personal experience with these gearsets but I hope it's true. I'm sure I'll need some eventually. Awsome crash BTW. Whatcha got in mind for the 200th anniversary ? :P

Check this link out for a good crosschart with Futaba servo gears. The S9452 is not there unfortunately but I thought the link could be useful anyway. Try to have a look and see what markings are one the plastic gear in your S9452).

The first gear is the same nylon first gear from the s9151/s9252. The 9252 first gears also 'read' 9151. I just ordered a couple extra s9252 sets of plastic gears for $6.99 in hopes the first gear will work. That will be cheaper than the 3 metal gear sets. Also FYI the stock align landing gear you see in the pic is red. I dyed it came out pretty good and it is actually fuel proof. Looks good with red boom and red canopy. Boiling RIT scarlet(red) die does the trick.
