Hi,

My e-board for my AXE CP fried today, and I have a feeling that it may of taken the RX board with it... In the meantime, I'll just fly my MX450, but my question is...

Instead of getting a new eboard and RX to the tune of about 120 bucks, (May as well get a new ACP and use the old one for parts) will a E-flite or similar 4-n-1 reciever/esc gyro work in my ACP? I am using the Heli-max 72mhz 5 channel radio that came with the ACP...

Any help in this area would be appreciated...

You can get the esky 3 in 1 for under 40 bucks and get a corona 6 ch receiver(use the stock crystal)

Another tip...To avoid frying your 3 in 1's or 4 in1's, place a fast blow automotive fuse in series with the (+) pole of the main motor and a 3 amp fuse with the tail motor. The fuses will blow before the electronics get fried whenever you crash.

I tried using a 3n1 out of the blade cpp, and it was a nightmare. I believe that since the 3n1 was made and calibrated for the lighter cpp, and you can't change throttle curves, the axe never quite acts right with the blade electronics cause of the weight difference. the axe board is made to spit out more juice, and power a bigger motor on a heavier frame.maybe if you use a different tx, with programable curves, u could get it to work.
