my first G3 model

figured i would show my fellow freaks the project im currently workin on
its something i wanted to do for a while
finally found the time and got goin on it. :lol:

little background.
got the G3 about 2 years ago.
during that time i down loaded an Airwolf color scheme for the bell 222.
although the bell 222 looks good painted black and white.
it really did look like Airwolf...it kinda did but something was missing
after modeling the fuselage i found ALOT was missing.

there is still alot of work to do on it.
but i just wanted show off the progress i made so far.
figured the freaks would get a kick out of it :D


oh and if there are any G3 physics editor gurus here ...please PM me ...i have a few questions



so here are a few screen shots from inside the sim :)



first 2 pics are from last week.
fuselage and landing gear are modeled but thats about it
with a touched up paint job

the second 2 pics are from this past weekend
no touch up paint but i have weapons now.
the guns on the side are still in prototype stage

weapons system is done.
got them to move like they should.

need to do a few tweeks on the 3D model yet
also figure out a better texture map.

other then that shes flying in G3 :D

what program did you use to make this?

i used a program called blender
can be found here http://www.blender.org/

i would suggest doin some of the tutorials....just to get the feel for the program.
i been learning as i been goin and its pretty rough.
