variable-pitch props

I joined a multiplayer session today and a few of the guys were flying what variable pitch prop type setups in G3. After some tinkering I came up with this. I'm curious to know if it flies anything like a variable pitch or not.

The variable pitch stuff is hooked up to the idle up switch. Push the switch away from you and everything will be normal. Pull it up one or two clicks and you will be in variable pitch mode. Up stick goes foreward, down stick goes backward.

I should probably cut back the weight quite a bit. It is just a proof of concept right now. I'll tinker with it some more.

Is this zip file a stand alone aircraft? If so which one?

Yeah, it is a modified E3D. Sorry about that. Probably kinda hard to find it in the selection dialog without knowing what model it is based on. :)

I also created a swing wing version of the ElectroStreak. I can't remember what switch does the swing wing, but it does work.

Been messing with the VP airplane. It's pretty cool. Plays with your mind sometimes though. Not used to not having a rotor disk.:D

I don't think we'll ever have Shock Flyers in G3.

They are made by IPACS, makers of AeroFly Pro Deluxe. I think that we would have trouble getting rights to them.

Chances are pretty good that we will have some foamy type aircraft in the sim soon. Also, for those that haven't heard, we're trying to release a plug-in that would allow users to create their own aircraft. Then you could make your own shock flyer or whatever.
