Venture 30 head mods

Heres what I found so far, the 30 & 50 head share most parts in head except the 50 has a metal main center but the same rocker parts for flybar.

All the other required fastners are the same. I priced the parts on a US site and the JR parts only come to $36.00 for the head. The JR swash is $75.00 and the align upgrade is $69.00 (AUS) and you get a metal washout base and arms with the align unit. Will send picks once I recieve parts.

Just fitted the grips, yoke, hub and phase ring....much better now, 90% of vibrations gone and the tiny gyro works ok for now. Will do the rest of the upgrade when more money frees up.

Got to luv youtube...here is a link to a rough video on the trex600n swash and washout base mods I have completed on the jr vent 30.

Not as easy as first expected due to the align swash bore diameter being under sized conpared to the jr main shaft (both list a 10mm main shaft), just a quick hone with the dremel fixed this. You will see the arms are at much better angles to the head, washout base and swash plate and provide more control.

I had to retrim my DX7 to allow free travel around the swash on full +/- pitch, shortened the swash servo link rods to drop the swash plate down to allow the phase pins to clear the swash assy at full + pitch, reduced the DX7 swash travel to 58%, increased the end points to 115% on the 3x servos, as you can see nice level washout arms and smooth mechanicals, no more flexing of the swash plate servo ball arms!

Is there any reason why you couldn't use the whole head off of the trex 600 ?, the blade holders, feathering spindle, hub, wash out, swash plate ,ect.......

I think you can, I just couldn,t find a complete setup anywhere over here, I will end up using all metal align parts bar the blade grips and yoke, all arms and seesaw are align. Someone mentioned you can use a raptor 50 head?
