Evo 50 and hitech 6965 binding problem

Is anyone using Hightec 6965s for the cyclic servos? I'm using the red horn for aileron , hole closet to center measuring 9.5 on my caliber. Given this , one link will not fit perfectly on the ball. Just off but causing some binding I think. I made sure that these links are measured out the same with a link sizing tool. Could this be the effect of the 2 degree offset mentioned in the manual? I've seen folks use the straight arms instead of the disc on cyclic yet I'm having no luck. I'll probably have the same results on elevator as well so any help would be appreciated.
