Hi all,
Santa gave me a little Sony PRS-505 as a present and now I am eager to fill it with books of my likings. Would anybody know about ebooks about Aerial Photography or RC Helicopters in general ? I would very much like to be able to have exactly this subject on my device for reading on the road.
Any advice as where to get such, please give me a hint (or link),
Thanks,
Ruud

You could purchase this book: http://www.aerialphotobook.com/ It's a print type book and I can't comment on it yet (my wifes parents bought it for me for xmas and I have to wait til this weekend when they come down to open it (I accidentally opened it when it came in the mail))

Hi Raptor3DPilot,
thanks for that advice. If I would be living in your areas, that book would have been with me already, but as I am in Russia, that's a little bit more difficult. I would be interested in an eBook version, if available, although I presume that reading this kind of book will be difficult, because of the pictures included. The Sony reader is more intended for text, although pictures can be watched in B&W.
I hope to be able to order some goods somewhere during this Year, which somebody might take here, but this will still take some time. Until then I am eager to have some reading stuff.
So if anybody has some other ideas, I'd be happy for any link.
Best regards (and nice reading for You :) )

No problem about the potential teasing, how's the book, You got an 'allowed' posibility to read some ?
I had some link to an interesting website Yesterday and decided to copy the plain text from the site (it's pages) into a program called book-designer and afterwards to my e-reader. Had a nice read Yesterday evening. I won't say which web-site, as there might be copyright here, but the idea is working.
So any links to text-content of interesting rc-heli websites are appreciated.
Now only find a way to copy this forum into plain text :D

Hi Ruud,
I am the guy who wrote that book, and I have shipped books to 26 countries so far. I don't see why Russia would be any more or less difficult than some of the others I've shipped to. I don't offer the book in ebook format. Too easy for someone to be less than scrupulous and give it away.

Hi Greg,
fullu agree with your opinion on eBooks, it IS quite easy. And the security systems available are good for a "newbie" like me, but there are sure to be clever guys breaking that in less then no time.
I was ordering some "Lipo Alarm" lately, just to once again try the Russian Postal system / Custom system. I was told that everything clearly stated to be less then 200 USD would be free of custom clearance, so I gave it a try. The goods I ordered were about 30 Euro, the shipping incl. insurance were another 20 because I wanted to make sure I would be refunded if nothing was received.
Goods ordered on 12.11. I complaint a few times and was told the goods would be recorded missing not before 19.12. so I waited for that moment. At 18.12. my wife got a message from the local postal office that my package arrived :D just in time not to be a bad guy (claiming though receiving). I informed the sender and he probably was as glad as I was, not to much to be proud of I would say, if I were in the custom/postal system here.
Can You PM me with some info how we would be able to give this a try :
-cost of shipping to St. Petersburg, Russia
-insurance
-which provider do You take (f.e. DHL is available here)
-which payment would You take (CC, Paypal ?)
Thanks in advance,
Ruud
