For sale / Trade: Trex 450 SA converted to SE, spares, tools, $385 shipped CONUS.
If submitting a trade offer, please read section on "trades" below.
Relisting due trade that fell through.
This was my 4th heli, I bought it locally from a guy who loved the thing and spent a ton of time on it getting it setup and completely configured correctly. I've probably got about 40-50 minutes total time hovering it and 2 forward flights. The heli is great, but requires 110% of my attention to fly it and I simply don't get much enjoyment out of it as I thought I would. Never so much as had to tweek the heli at all.
The heli is in very good shape, needs nothing. I haven't even landed it hard. Absolutely no issues with it.
I have some feedback here, significant feedback on ebay, and can provide as many references as required. I'm a highly ethical seller and I expect the same from others. If, per chance, there was an issue with our transaction, I will make it right.
I can accept payment in the form of personal check, money order, and google checkout (credit card).
It is forsale locally also. 2nd time listing it, it was pulled for a trade which didn't work out.
Additional photos of the heli can be seen here: http://lakebox.dnsalias.com/photos/trex/
Note, the TX and RX are not included at this price.
I can shoot video of it in a hover for remote buyers.
I believe the only difference between this and the SE version is a carbon fiber frame.
CNC parts are Align CNC grey.
It has an extra $100 in spare parts and tools that go with it and I'm pricing it below most other TREX helis alone. This setup, without RX and TX, would run over $700 if purchased retail. I'm way discounting it off that price and listing it aggressively against other Trexs on RCU and RCG.

Want to Trade / Trades :

I'm interested in .15e-.25e electric aircraft. 4 channel or more. Sorry, I no longer do gassers and I'm not interested in owning one again. I'm an intermediate to advanced plane pilot. Particular models that interest me: Ultra Stick 25e, FuntanaX, float plane, or E-glider (Aileron). No foamies, sorry. If what you are selling has issues, please disclose - I'd rather be over informed rather than under informed.
If you're going to make a trade offer, it can be +/- cash. If you're making a trade offer:
Please detail your trade, don't just tell me it's a FuntanaX RTF - please include information on what goes with it, IE servos, ESC, battery, motor. If you can offer it with or without items, let me know.

Provide a value on what you think it is worth - meaning if you were to sell it for cash, what could you expect to get for it.

List any issues with it up front. If it needs a BEC, let me know before agreeing to a trade. IF it's damaged, dinged, dented, or needs a little work - that's OK, but I do need to know before we can come to an agreement.

Please don't expect retail value (new prices) on used RC items, unless you're willing to value the heli at retail also. Used RC items typically sell for 50%-75% of retail price, so let keep it fair. There are exceptions, of course, but typically used aircraft don't sell for the sum of their parts - this Trex is included.

I fly with the DX6 listed above.

Nego offers / Low ball:
I will adjust the price of the heli if I'm selling it above market. Please provide references to similarly equiped helis or packages that are priced under my asking price.

Sky,

I replied to your post. $580 is the price for everything - down to the charger, balancer, TX Lipo, and both the TX/RX. At that price, it'll come pre-setup and ready to fly out of the box.

If you're coming from a co-ax, I strongly suggest that you get some help. At a minimum, get some simulator time. This is my 4th heli, starting from a co-ax like you... The Trex is a great heli and the most stable and predictable heli (I've found) in it's size - that being said, it's easy for them to get away from you.

This is an excellent 1st Trex setup, it's upgraded, comes with spares, and comes with all of the heli-specific tools that you'd need to buy anyway. I've tried to price it very aggressively.

I flew planks (planes) for years and helis require 110% of my attention.

A few pros and cons to buying used:

Pros:

Price: You can get a complete setup at a fraction of what it would cost to put it together yourself.
No assembly time in many cases.Cons:

No all sellers are ethical - some will leave out little details around small items (best case) - some won't ship you anything.
No vendor support - you'll be relying on forums like this.
You're by-passing the assembly step, which takes some of heli-assembly / configuration knowledge from you.

I've done considerable sim time already and read RADD's rotary flight school as well as check out the Finless vids on this site. Also I want to make sure that the whole package is there. Can I see a pic of the DX6 and Rx? I just want to be sure of what I am getting.
What name are you under on e-bay? I see you are new to this site as I am and would like to check out history.

My ebay ID is the same as my userID on here, send me a message on ebay to confirm. I have 314 positive transactions.
Link: http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=dcg9381

In 10 years have 2 negative transactions, full disclosure:
1) In 1996 I went on vacation and forgot to pay for an item. I accept responsiblity for this and it was my fault.
2) About 2 years ago, I somehow managed to insult a seller by offering retail value on a 4runner. He was a real bear and immediately did a "buy it now" on one of my auctions for the purpose of leaving me negative feedback. He left feedback within 30 minutes of the auction end date, clearly impossible for me to deliver anything in 30 mintues. His feedback was hidden. I don't accept responsibility for this transaction. Ebay wouldn't help me, other than to remove his very "choice" comments.

I have two recent transactions on RCGroups (same userID):
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/traderratings.php?u=141651

The Receiver on the Trex is visible in the photo - it has a small gray antenna (2 of them actually). The RX is about 1/4 the size of a traditional FM receiver. Its on the lower right hand side of the heli in this photo:
http://lakebox.dnsalias.com/photos/trex/DSC06813.JPG

I can pull it off if you want me to, but I'd prefer not to do so. I am willing to take more photos if you need.

I can provide a link to a recent ebay auction where I purchased another.. I've actually got 3 receivers for the DX6.

Photos of the DX6, Astro Blinky balancer, and Charger:
http://lakebox.dnsalias.com/photos/trex/med/DSC06828.JPG

I can take photos of the battery in the DX6 if you need. The blinky has the adapter for TP batteries, basically I can't think of a LiPo that it won't balance.

I moderate a forum at:
http://www.22rte-trucks.com/ and own http://22returbo.net - I have no desire to trash my reputation and I'm not going to disappear with money that doesn't belong to me.
