I'm getting ready to start my ION later this week. I was wondering if there is anything I need to be careful of, tips, tricks, etc?
Thanks!

Just follow the directions and ask help as you need it.

Having someone else build your new heli for you? Now that’s no fun!

No no, I'll build it myself. You're right, that wouldn't be any fun having someone else build it. I was just wondering if there were was anything that I needed to be aware of during the build. Most choppers I've built all have their own idiosyncrasies. I've never built an MA ship before.

Hi,
The only big problem I found was finding a socket small enough for the tail blade holders, you need a VERY thin socket to fit between the blade grips. I went everywhere trying to find one but none was thin enough, in the end I bought the smallest and cheapest socket I could find and grinded the O/D down until it would fit. Fits like a glove now :D
Enjoy the build, it's taken me a long time to build compared to other heli's but I have wanted to make eveything is perfect. I have almost finished it and am very pleased with it.
Simon.

How long have you been at it? I figure for me it's about a 24 -30 hour build.

That about what I figure. I only have an hour or so each night as well. I'm going to forgo my flying this weekend so I can spend some quality time with my ION ...er wife
