I've got a Futuba7cap tx and a Hitec electron 6 rx. I'm in the build process of my trex 450se V2, setting up my servo arms. I connected the servos and esc to the rx, leaving the motor out, as Bob White suggested. When I turn on the tx and plug in the battery all three servos ratchet somewhat and do not respond to tx stick commands. Anyone have an idea what would cause this?

Is the Hitec Electron 6 for use with a Futaba Transmitter? Does the Hitec have a crystal that is on the same frequency ( channel) as the transmitter?
The servos will ratchet some when power is applied to them where they are receiving a signal from the transmitter or not/

Thanks David for replying, the electron 6 is for the rx and it is on the same frequency as the tx

Yes I know the Electron 6 is a receiver. What I am asking is this. Hitec makes Electron 6 receivers so that they may be used with Futaba, JR, Airtronics. Is the Hitec Electron 6 receiver you had for a Futaba system There is two versions of the Electron 6.
Also the Electron 6 is PPM (FM) receiver. Do you have the transmitter set to transmit on PPM? If it is set to transmit on PCM, the receiver will not work.

DavidH sorry it took me a while to get back with you. You are absolutely correct. I got with my LHS guy and we went through the process of elimination and he came upon it. After he found it, I remembered I had a simular problem with one of my planes some time ago. So the rest of you newbbies can take heed. Pay attention to your modulation setting PCM or PPM. Thanks David

But you might want to consider another Rx. Electron 6s are not known as good heli Rxes.
