hey i sold a heli about a month ago and 2 days later i went in hospital ,my sister-in-law was checking the mail and when the check came in she deposited it for me and following week she packed up my .50v2 titan with lots of upgrades and electronics and sent it ,when check bounced they froze my account cause it was fraud check,my sister-in-law never looked at how much the check was for but it was alot more than the heli,when i got in touch with this guy and threatened to send my friend who is detective for online fraud he shipped it back but it was an old wore out .30v1 with radio taped together and i had sent him a xp9303 ,ive still got the check and one of his many names is hermes e conde , watch this guy he is scam artist from clarkesville tennessee, dont trust him for anything ive still got copy of check if anyone wants to see how he signs and the bank he uses

I assume this was a personal check. Why would you accept that as payment? A postal money order is much more secure.

I feel for your lost. But just curious why your posting on Helifreak. I mean the situation could have easily been reversed and you had the item for sale on Helifreak and this happened. And then I guess you would have made the same type on post on RR saying Helifreak must do something HT ( Helifreak Thiefs)

As with any online transaction it is buyer beware. When I have sold items I only accept USPS money order or certified bank check. Unless it is somebody I know personally and have met face to face.

Again sorry for getting scammed. But they are everywhere now. The forums can't be responsible for items bought and sold. But usually a good through check out on the potential buyer will reveal any bad dealings in the past.

I appreciate the warning also. But it still requires to check out every transaction before it is made. Notice the many names in the statement above, it could be a regular on any of the forums that just uses different names and ID's when they are scamming.

i would not have accepted the check if i had been home but ive been in hospital over accident that accured while i went back into my burning house to save all my helis and ive had back operation 4 times and last time while i was in hospital i was waiting on a check my mom was sending me and without looking my sister-in-law who works for police dept was in hurry to get to work and just deposited it thinking it was from my mom and well they locked my entire account,and cancelled my cards,it was a mistake that just added to all my streak of bad luck,but i would love to talk to this guy face to face,he caused me and my family to almost starve to death,and that no exaggeration ,i went 4 days straight without a bite so my wife and daughter could eat and ive been trying to sell all my rc stuff to help with bills but havent had any luck selling on here,i just hope someone sees something ive got they want ,ive got everything cheap and will take about any offer,thanks

Not to belittle your loss, but perhaps waiting for the check to clear before shipping the goodies might have been a good idea. I've sold a few things "online" and always waited for the check or money order to clear before shipping the goodies.

Perhaps posting this guy's address will help. We're a pretty small community and someone may live nearby that can help.

It sounds like experiance and knowledge was the greatest thing gained on that one. I'm a fan of Knowledge is power,,,
If that many things are piling up on you, I'd change something.
My experiance has led me to beleive that Help is a thought away when applied.
I'm not baggin on ya,,, But from what your saying, I'd try to collect from the Sis- n - law... If she was in that much of a hurry to screw things up like that, it would only happen once with me. If I had a Brain Fart in that senario,,,
