The flight line will only be closed to land full scale aircraft.
How long is the usable runway for full scale aircraft? From the aerial shot it looks like its only accessible to heli's and maybe ultralights. I'd need about 2000' of fairly well groomed surface to get a Cessna 310 in there :smokin:

Joe:
Actually, the only full scale we land at the park now are helis, and of course they don't need 2,000 feet! Sorry to say you are about 50 years too late to land your full scale at this airport, but I have found the remains of one full scale in the woods at the end of where one of the runways was.

Pretty cool Wayne, hopefully everything will go well between now and then and I'll be able to make the drive from GA.

MHA FF UPDATE: Just some updates for those planning on coming to the MHA FF June 6-8.
Please make hotel reservations soon. The block rooms we have reserved run out next week, and you will not get our club discount.
Food: As always, we will have food at the event. Saturday night we will feature a barbecue with pulled pork sandwiches, potato salad, baked beans and whatever. The barbecue is real smoked pork made in a famous Washington DC restaurant.
Events: First, the flight line will always be open if you don’t want to participate in any events. Robin will again new the novice event, and the Beast from the East will run MHA’s version of the 450 challenge. Guaranteed to be more fun than dunking your head in a cooler full of ice. And of course the 10 hour long night fly Saturday night and Sunday morning.
3D Class: We will not have a formal 3D class this year. But…. For those wanting to fly all week long, the MHA club field will be open to guests Monday-Thursday for anyone wishing to join us. (that’s when you get to see me fly….)
Looking forward to seeing everyone in a few weeks!

Just a quick update!
Where are we getting this awesome barbecue from for Saturday night? Just so happens, one of our members owns www.ps7restaurant.com/
in Washington DC. We don't serve slop at MHA!
And... 1 Up has reminded me about 10 times now that he wants three days of sunshine! We all do, but just in case.... Make sure you bring your 450 electrics. There is more than enough room in the barn to fly them!
Today, 125 shirts landed at my door step! Free to the first 125 pilots who register.
Two weeks away!

What vendors will be attending?
Wayne
05-31-2008, 07:34 PM
We usually have 3-4 vendors, I don't want to get in trouble and say who they are on here, but one is from PA, one is from NH I think.
